Fundraising Gala and Auction

Client: Teardrops to Rainbows, a non-profit providing support to families with children with cancer

Audience: 300+ corporate donors, partners, sponsors, patients and their families

Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner, VA

Brief: For its 10th anniversary gala, T2R hosted silent and live auctions to raise funds to support its mission.

Concept: With the unifying concept of “The Wizard of Oz” for the event, the design elements included a yellow brick road leading guests into the ballroom, sponsorship levels titled “Ruby Slippers” and “Emerald City,” using emerald green and gold as our main colors, all signage and print materials using elements from the movie. We managed the pre-event communications with attendees, the invitation and ticketing process, on-site registration, volunteer coordination, graphic design and printing, sponsors coordination, and on-site event management.

Marketing Luncheon

Client: Relish Catering

Audience: 30

Mexican Cultural Institute, Washington, DC

Brief: As a new and growing catering company in Washington, DC, Relish Catering wanted to introduce itself and its capabilities to top event planners in the area.

Concept: Since we hosted the luncheon at the Mexican Cultural Institute around the time of the Day of the Dead celebrations, we allowed that to guide the style direction. One of the highlights included place cards which had a personalized illustration of each guest. We also used this opportunity to showcase new products from our event rental partner.

Client Relations Management and Appreciation Events

Client: Excella Consulting

Audience: 350+

2013 Artisphere, Arlington, Va, 2014 Hamilton, Washington, DC

Brief: Excella Consulting brought us on board as they wanted to bring this event to the next level as the company matured and grew. The venue and event concept needed to be more sophisticated but still reflecting the fun company culture.

Concept: Since we chose to host the event at the Artisphere in 2013, we ran with the idea of ‘art’ as the overarching style. That year’s focus was on showcasing the company and its employees – more internally focused. We branded the event in the company’s colors throughout the decor and lighting scheme. We set up the dinner display in the shape of an X as it is often used in the company’s collateral. The graphic design had a brush stroke motif.

In 2014, the event was more externally focused with the theme of “making IT better with you,” the company’s clients and how Excella help them make an impact for their respective customers. This year’s event logo featured talking bubbles, as the event has always been about people connecting, and we branded the event with the company’s alternate color palette for a brighter look.

Training Center Launch Event and Open House

Client: Excella Consulting

Audience: 200

Corporate Office, Arlington, VA

Brief: With Agile Training as a growing service area, Excella needed its own training center, instead of constantly renting space elsewhere. The Arlington Tech Exchange (ATX) will also provide a physical space as the company often hosted industry meetup, to further its presence in the local tech community.

Concept: The theme for this event was “Connect. Share. Learn.” We shared the signature cocktail’s recipe on a custom cocktail napkins; the local sourced ingredients in the evening’s menu. As a way to connect, we used a Social Media wall that displayed tweets as guests posted them online. As an homage to Agile training, we used Post-In notes for directional arrows.

Fundraising Gala and Auction

Client: Balletnova Center for Dance

Audience: 200+ donors, faculty, alumni, current students, parents

Balletnova Center for Dance, Falls Church, VA

Brief: After 25 years at its small Arlington, VA location, Balletnova was expanding and moved to a 20,000 SF commercial facility in Falls Church, VA. Balletnova needed to raise additional funds to continue supporting its high level of dance education and presentation of performances in this new facility. As this was the very first time the organization had planned a fundraising event, Event Accomplished was brought on board to lend its event planning expertise.

Concept: We focused on showcasing the new facility and mission of the organization. With multiple studios, we designed the event to move our guests throw the different spaces while enjoying a different experience in each room – different music, different decor. We managed the pre-event communications with attendees, the invitation and ticketing process, on-site registration, volunteer coordination, sponsors coordination, silent and live auctions, entertainment and talent, and on-site event management.

Private Recruiting Event

Client: Excella Consulting

Audience: 150+ prospective employees; company leadership team and senior employees

Sehkraft Brewing, Arlington, VA

Brief: As the company continues to grow, the need to fill requisitions has become a challenge. Participating in area job fairs was not enough to really showcase the company. By hosting this private recruiting event, prospective employees got the opportunity to meet the management team, other employees, and speak more in depth with service area leaders in their area of expertise. The event also allowed them to get a feel for the company culture.

Concept: We decided to use the theme of a rock concert as the style guide for the event. We wanted the prospective employees to feel like rock stars: using a red carpet as they approached the event, volunteers wore t-shirts with the company logo, lanyards held badges that said VIP Access, signage designed to look like concert posters. The company’s in-house rock band entertained the attendees.
