Rehearsal Dinner: Lyon Hall, Arlington

First up is a place in my neighborhood and an ideal spot for Rehearsal Dinners in Arlington, VA.

Venue: Lyon Hall, Arlington, VA. Clarendon neighborhood at corner of Washington Blvd & Highland Street.

Food & Drink: Brought to you by the Arlington based group that also own The Liberty Tavern and Northside Social, this “casual & affordable neighborhood French brasserie” serves “approachable Alsatian-inspired fare, including … house-made charcuterie and sausages. The affordable wine list focuses on French selections, while the impressive beer list offers an extensive selection of European drafts and bottles.”

Private Dining Options: There is a private 2nd floor dining room, with its own bar, that could seat about 30 people and about 50 people standing.

Transit & Parking: Clarendon Metro rail stop on Orange line. Metered street parking (mostly free after 6pm) or garages nearby.

Advantages:

• Great food & beverage options
• Walking distance to Metro rail stop
• Private bar
• Near other local places for any “Welcome Party” options

Challenges:

• No dedicated parking
• Not within walking distance to any hotels
• Not suitable for larger groups
