In honor of their anniversary, we are sharing more photographs of this modern yet vintage spring wedding at the Ronald Reagan Building International Trade Center in Washington, DC. It was recently featured in the Washingtonian Magazine blog. Things I remember from this wedding:
- I am enjoying the return of formal black tie weddings.
- I used fashion tape for the first time on a groom’s shirt.
- Weddings often occur while other more important things in life are also happening.
- Weddings bring together the most important people in your life.

Their black and white color scheme was inspired by the black and white tiles of the W Hotel.
I loved the visual impact of the tall arrangements using Baby’s Breath, especially in a room with tall ceilings. You need a lot of Baby’s Breath to make such a strong statement.
Although I got a sneak peek while the groom and groomsmen were getting ready, the surprised dance they performed for the bride was even better than I had imagined!
