Planning for corporate winter events and holiday parties in the Washington, DC area kick into high gear early Fall. Our corporate clients often ask for designs that do not have an overly Christmas feel of reds and greens, and to stay religiously neutral. Here are two design ideas we came up with recently. For both designs, we used the same festive and winter inspired floral arrangements created by Petals Edge Floral Design, the same chair, and the same stationery. Design #1 – Black and White
With this first design, I wanted show that a timeless combination of black and white can have a modern, sophisticated, winter, and festive feel by adding fun touches. To start, we centered the faux black slate table with a white faux fur table runner, topped with floral arrangements in modern silver cubes evenly distributed along the length of the table. Each place setting had a silver snowflake to add to the winter feel.

Winter is the only season where we can use velvet tablecloths for its rich texture. I love using purple in the winter time for its deep vibrant tones without it being predictable. For a festive touch, we needed some sparkle from this stunning silver Pearl Glass Charger plate and silver flatware. To change things up, we pushed the same floral arrangements together to give an illusion that they are one long arrangement in the center of the table. The purple silk napkins provided a different texture also.
