On this summer day in Washington, DC, we had the pleasure of coordinating this Indian-Jamaican fusion wedding. We started the day with a ceremony Sligo Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Takoma Park, MD. Being that the couple was Seventh-Day Adventist, there was no alcohol served at their wedding reception, held at the grand Atrium of the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC. This didn’t dampen the fun at all. Their culinary team did an excellent job with a buffet dinner featuring both Indian and Jamaican dishes. All photos by Mari Harsan Studios
The couple’s friend, Maurice Staple from the Acapella group Committed (as seen on NBC’s The Sing Off), sang for the bride’s processional.
