If you plan a fall wedding in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia and want to be outdoors for any portion of the wedding day, consider choosing a wedding date before Halloween. From experience, the temperature starts dropping into the 40s and 50s where it is too cold for guests to be outside for long periods of time. As a wedding planner, we always discuss what to do if the temperature is too cold to be outdoors without heat. For our client’s micro wedding in Leesburg, Virginia, we were able to take advantage of the warmest part of the day to take photos of the bride and groom, and their wedding party and families outdoors. But for the ceremony and reception, we had to move indoors so that guests were more comfortable. All photos by Vesic Photography
