Celebrating 5 Great Years!

DC wedding planner Event AccomplishedYesterday, May 23, marked the 5th anniversary of Event Accomplished being in business (it’s the official date on my business license)! It’s been an incredibly rewarding 5 years full of happy memories. We have had wonderful clients and worked with talented and friendly vendors along the way. I am lucky and grateful to have an outstanding team who put their hearts into every wedding.

If you asked me 5 years ago if this is the job I would be done, I would have said no way, but I guess life has a funny way of telling you what you should be doing!

Here is to many more years of Creating Memories and Celebrating Life! — Vicky

Featured in A Foxy Wedding: My “Wedding in a Box”

A Foxy Wedding

My friend Jessica at A Foxy Wedding started a series called “Wedding in a Box” recently. Originally inspired by a trip to Julianne Smith’s, aka GarterGirl, home and seeing her “wedding in a box,” the idea is to pull out the mementos you kept for your wedding and reminisce a little. What a fun idea!

My ‘Wedding in Box” is featured today. I had a great time looking through all the stuff I kept. What great memories they brought back! I had forgotten about half the stuff I had saved but looking at them just brings a smile to my face. Check it out! You can also read about Jessica’s and Janice Carnevale’s (Bellwether Events) boxes.

Event Accomplished to Offer Paper Products Service

Ever expanding the services available to our clients, Event Accomplished is excited to announce that we have added in-house graphic design services and are now a retailer of Papeterie invitations! (See Special Offer at the end of this blog post)

We can now create custom paper products that are part of an integrated design for your wedding, from save-the-dates to menu cards, using a mix of custom and semi-custom resources.

For example, we recently used this combination approach (see photo below). First, our in-house graphic designer created a unique Save-the-Date postcard (bottom of photo), ceremony program and table numbers (top right of photo). Later on, we worked with the designers at Papeterie to create the invitations (we also used a design from Wedding Paper Divas for the rehearsal dinner invites as seen in the upper left of the photo). What I like most about the Papeterie invitations is that they are semi-custom. While the general design of each invitation is set, you get to choose the font color, the backing colors, and a few other elements to make it fit with your event’s design scheme!
