Remember this sneak peek? The rest of this wedding held at Washington Golf & Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.
I’m a true believer in that inspiration for a wedding can come from anywhere. For this wedding, the whole look and feel came from the bridesmaids’ dress. A Priscilla of Boston brocade knee-length dress with empire waist and pleated bodice in a gold and silvery tone.
Pretty, right? All the bridesmaids looked great in the dress, including the bride’s sister who was very pregnant. Photo below: Renee Cobb Photography

One thing I love about this wedding was that there were quite a few surprises! Keeping them straight and remembering not to put them on the timeline were a struggle, but very fun in the end. One of the surprises was the groom’s cake, designed to look like a fire truck as the groom is a fire fighter in New York. How cute is this? Photo: Renee Cobb Photography
More next week — Vicky

Event Team
Venue: Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Vienna, VA
Wedding Coordinator: Vicky Choy, Event Accomplished
Music: Michael Kolmstetter classical guitarist. A classical guitarist is a great music choice for a lunch reception where you don’t expect much dancing. It provides a nice background mood. Michael had a small set up that allowed him to play recorded music for the first dance, John Denver’s Annie’s Song (I hummed that song all week).
