For our associate coordinator, Jen Briley, this could not have been a better client for her very first wedding as a lead coordinator. Our couple was kind and fun and the day could not have gone better. Our bride had the biggest smile on her face the entire day. Congratulations, Jen! I just love it when a couple knows what they are about and chose to plan a wedding that made sense to them and not worry about what everybody else is doing. Sitting at their favorite neighborhood restaurant one night, this couple thought, “wouldn’t it be fun to have our wedding here?” They did! We had a two-part cocktail hour, charcuterie platters as centerpieces, and details filled with sentimental value. Here’s to “doing your own thing!” — More to come. Enjoy, Vicky“Dear Vicky, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for everything you did for our wedding. We feel like everything went perfectly and we wouldn’t change a thing if we had it all to do over again. Our guests raved about the food and the decor. Everyone loved the ceremony. We (and our parents) felt completely taken care of by Vicky and Stacey. The day was truly more wonderful than we imagined it could be. With many thanks, S&H”
I received this lovely note from our client Alisa a few weeks ago. Alisa got married in 2007 on Friday the 13th, on a sunny spring day in DC, surrounded by cherry blossoms and a cannoli wedding cake from Vaccaro’s in Balitmore. We keep in touch on Facebook and am happy to know that she still has fond memories of that day! — Vicky
This weekend I was out in Colorado attending my brother’s wedding and the entire weekend everyone from my family kept coming over and saying how much they loved my wedding. 3 and a half years later they are still talking about how much fun they had and how organized it was. So, thank you again for making my wedding the best!
I had the privilege of partnering with the talent decorator, Prabha Bhambri, on a Hindu wedding reception at the lovely Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC. The reception was the finale to several days of celebrations. While the sangeet and ceremonies focused on traditions, the reception had a more modern flair. We worked closely with the mother of the groom who had impeccable personal style.
The cocktail hour was held in the Colonnade Room and the courtyard, while dinner and dancing were held in the Ballroom. While the colors for cocktail hour of yellows and mauve were more soothing, the reception colors were bright and vibrant orange and hot pink.
