Good things come to those who wait. Like many weddings originally scheduled for 2020, this couple postponed their wedding to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After planning this wedding for 2 years, what’s another year? After a micro wedding in 2020, their Washington, DC wedding at the Meridian House turned out to be the most joyful celebration. The joy started early with the couple’s first look
Surrounded by dark clouds that day, we were lucky and the rain never happened.
Katie Martin from Elegance and Simplicity created this unique textured bridal bouquet in tones of plum, burgundy, and dark blue featuring roses, blue thistle, burgundy hanging amaranthus, ornamental kale, and ranunculus
With a smaller guest count, we were able to face a different part of the garden, anchored by the hexagon wood backdrop. A handfasting ceremony
After all this time, finally wed!
In pandemic times, one of the bridesmaids could not attend due to travel restrictions. The couple live streamed their wedding ceremony and was able to video chat with her afterwards.
