Larz Anderson House, home to the Society of the Cincinnati, has one of the most beautiful ballrooms in Washington, DC. Built in 1905 as a private residence, the urban mansion was built for entertaining – fit for a wedding reception. After a Catholic wedding ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, DC, where the bride’s parents also got married, our clients hosted their wedding reception at the Anderson House. After some summer rain cleared, the newlyweds were able to take photos with their wedding party at the Lincoln Memorial, a uniquely Washington DC location.
The groom’s family is from Zimbabwe and it was one of their first times attending a wedding in the United States. For the dancing portion of the wedding reception, the couple incorporated dance music from several musicians from throughout the African continent. It was really fun!
