Even if it makes planning your wedding a bit more complicated, I love it when couples fully embrace their religion. On a cold late fall day, our clients had a Jewish wedding at Riverside on the Potomac in Leesburg, Virginia, including a tisch and bedeken prior to the ceremony at the chuppah. Some of their guests had never taken part in a tisch or bedeken before and when they saw the signage indicating such, they thought the two words were the names of another couple! One of the things I remembered most about this wedding was that the couple and their guests started with a long hora, followed by a long but fun dance set. Everybody was dancing! Click here for more Jewish weddings from our archives.
