To plan a surprise 50th birthday party for her husband was no easy feat. Our client came up with a semi fictitious event for the two of them to attend in Washington, DC. The birthday boy was clueless and his reaction upon seeing his family and high school and college friends from afar was priceless and is why I love my job!
As a guy who loves fishing and beer, we incorporated his interests when designing this party. LBC Design Co. helped up design a logo for the party and my favorite item were the custom growler labels we used in the centerpieces. Wolfgang Puck Catering at the Newseum in Washington, DC created a menu that was reflective of his life: a “Taste of Cape Cod” station reminiscent of their summer vacations, a “Pan Asian” station because he loves Asian food, and a “Beer and Brats” cart. Each station had a beer pairing. During cocktail hour, guests nibbled on charcuterie boards.
Thank you to Stephen Gosling for capturing my work! All photos are by Stephen unless otherwise noted.
