We are delighted that one of Washington, DC‘s best wedding photographers, Procopio Photography, recognized Event Accomplished as one top 15 wedding Planners. This recognition appeared in the World’s Best Wedding Photos blog. It is also featured in Procopio Photography’s blog. In Spring 2022, we worked with Cicely and her team on this joyful fusion Indian wedding. In the next few weeks, we will be featuring more photos from this vibrant, gay wedding. Pandemic-Postponed Middleburg Virginia Indian Wedding
After postponing their wedding 3 times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our couple finally got to celebrate with their friends and family at a fall wedding in Middleburg, Virginia. They had a micro wedding Tamil Indian ceremony at the bride’s parents’ home but waited to host a larger reception. Last fall, they hosted a luncheon preceded by a viewing of a video from their micro wedding. On the next day, they finally got to hosted dinner reception they had long planned. Backyard Indian Fusion Wedding in Virginia
I love the colorful wedding attire for Indian / South Asian weddings. As Covid restrictions were being lifted in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, it felt good to be planning weddings again. Our clients had planned a destination wedding. But in the spring of 2021, the uncertainty of overseas travel safety led the couple to host a backyard wedding in Virginia at the groom’s parents’ home instead for a small group of friends and family.
Our happy bride, with her hair and makeup done by Norma Rio of Bridal Artistry, getting ready for her first of two ceremonies.
Such a stunning skirt in reds and pinks with the floral patterns quite appropriate for a backyard wedding.
Yes you can do a fun baraat even at home!

After the Hindu ceremony, we flipped the focal point to the opposite side of the tent for a Christian ceremony
Getting help from her bridesmaids, our bride changed into a different wedding dress for her second Christian ceremony.
